Marriage to a U.S. citizen remains one of the fastest paths to permanent residency—but only if you meet all the requirements and prepare your evidence properly.
There's no mandatory waiting period after your wedding. Once married, you can file your Form I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative) and Form I-485 (Adjustment of Status) concurrently—if you're already in the U.S. and entered legally. If abroad, you'll go through consular processing via the National Visa Center (NVC).
