Born in Cameroon, West Africa, Attorney Fogam grew up in humble beginnings, shaped by the discipline of a Catholic boarding school (Sasse College) and the rugged demands of village and farm life in Bali. Despite facing significant family hardship rooted in a polygamous upbringing, he defied the odds and earned his first law degree from the University of Yaoundé in 1986. His early journey included a transformative international exchange program in Canada, teaching and serving pro bono as a school principal in a remote Cameroonian village, and even working as a fisherman alongside villagers in Ngeme—a testament to his humility, work ethic, and connection to everyday people.

Attorney Fogam immigrated to the United States. Like many immigrants, he started from the bottom—washing dishes in restaurants daily and attending law school by night. He earned his second law degree from the Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, DC, and was admitted to the bar in 1996. - With over two decades of experience practicing immigration law in the US
